What we do
broadband.click lists 164 broadband providers that sell to UK homes — and 136 of them are local, regional or village networks: fibre co-operatives, county fibre builders and rural wireless operators that are often faster or cheaper than the household names where they reach, but rarely get compared with them. We list them all, side by side, on the same terms.
How we rank
Every list is sorted by first-year cost unless you choose otherwise: the setup fee plus twelve months at the prices you would actually pay, including when an introductory offer ends. A fixed twelve-month window means a short contract cannot win just by ending sooner. You can switch to total contract cost, average monthly cost or speed at any time. No provider can pay to rank higher — there is no setting that would let them.
Where our information comes from
- Prices come from each provider’s own website, checked by a person, with the date shown on every row. A price we have not rechecked within 45 days is hidden until someone checks it again.
- Speeds come from Ofcom’s Connected Nations data, which predicts what the line to each address can carry.
- Availability: for most providers we cannot check your exact address, and every results page says so. The exception is Giant, whose own checker we ask about the address you choose.
- The small print — data caps, wireless or satellite delivery, mid-contract price rises and setup fees a provider will not publish — is flagged on the row, not buried.
Right now 156 tariffs from 30 providers have a price checked in the last 45 days.
How we make money
Some providers pay us a commission if you buy through our link. Those rows are labelled “Ad”, every time. Some links go through a cashback site, and the button says so. Being paid never changes where a deal ranks, and most providers we list pay us nothing. We may also show adverts from Google; they are kept apart from the comparison and never affect it. How we rank results, and what we get paid has the detail.

Tell us what we got wrong
Prices change and new networks appear every month. If you spot a wrong price, a missing provider or a mistake in a guide, please tell us through our contact page — corrections are the most useful message we get.
